Mark Williams is seeded #6 after playing well in the PTC's this season and I can see the new world #1 advancing to the next round. Williams is provisionally #1 in the world after picking up points from this event, a tournament Higgins couldnt play in. His form this season has been fantastic and in these best of seven matches in the Welsh Open, he seemed to really enjoy the shorter format beating Fu and Cope 4-0.Hamilton has improved of late and been playing much better snooker. He's up to #36 in the world but hasnt qualified for neither the China Open nor the World Championships, losing 10-5 to Barry Hawkins in the World qualifiers. He's solid and has made the highest break of the tournament so far, a 133, but I dont think he will have enough to beat Williams.
