PHL Phillies vs ATL Braves

The NL East winniers Philadelphia Phillies will head to Turner Field for the 2nd one of this 3-game series against the Atlanta Braves after winning the opener, 4-2. None of the teams have made a good impression the last period when it could as well counted very much, Atlanta winning just 3 wins in their last 10 games when they could have assured the wild card  a few matches ago and Philadelphia who could have made history, now 1 win shy of tying a franchise mark for victories with 2 straight wins that they are going on right now, only after a 8-game losing streak, their longest of the season. The pitching match-up will be between two right-handers, Roy Oswalt for the Phillies, 8-10, 3.86 ERA with not the season that he wanted for sure although keeping an decent ERA and Derek Lowe for the Braves, 9-16, 4.92 ERA. Looking at the way these two have pitched in the past against the teams that they are going to be facing today, Lowe comes on top with 8-6, 3.34 ERA against Philadelphi, while Oswalt is 1-3, 5.15 ERA against Atlanta. With a win today for the Braves they would get closer to the wild card, with the Cardinals 1 win behind, and just like Atlanta has 2 more to play in the season. Altough the season series between the two this season is led by the Phillies 10-6, I think today with some determination and a bit of luck they can get a win.
